Antti
I am an author, explorer and photographer specialised in apex predators, biodiversity, climate change, the arctic and indigenous issues. I was born into the taiga forests of Eastern Finland and from my heritage I am indigenous Sámi – my grandmother was born on Deatnu once the most important salmon river of Europe.
I am interested in predator prey dynamics and in general boreal taiga and arctic ecosystem dynamics under change. I base my literary work in the latest scientific findings. As a photographer I use cameras as instruments to measure, monitor and reveal dynamics in nature in a rapidly changing world. I have published three non fiction books which I have both written and illustrated. I am currently working on my fourth book.
